Tips For Baking These Cookies

This recipe is very easy to make but this tips will help you achieve the best results.

  • A stand mixer makes it easier to cream the butter and sugars together. An electric hand mixer can be used if you don’t have a stand mixer.
  • If you have the time, freeze the Milk Duds before adding them to the dough. This help keep the chocolate from melting completely into the cookies.
  • Line your baking pans with parchment or a silicone mat. It makes clean-up easier because the caramel can ooze out of the cookies and stick to pans.
  • For softer, taller cookies, form the dough into balls and freeze for 15 minutes before baking. The cookies will stand taller and the centers will be softer.

What Can Be Used Instead Of Milk Duds?

If you can’t find Milk Duds, they can be replaced with another chocolate covered caramel like Rolo.

Other chocolate covered caramels will also work with this recipe.
