Cranberries and Cinnamon sticks

Easy Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 Tbsp orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • zest of one orange
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients in a medium sized saucepan
  • Bring to a boil over high heat
  • Boil for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries are softened. (You will hear cranberries popping as they soften and crack open)
  • Remove from heat, and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Remove cinnamon sticks and discard.
  • Pour into serving dish, cover, and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
