Easy Homemade Waffles

Easy homemade waffles are fluffy and buttery without being overly sweet. Perfect for weekends but also for weekdays because they are so easy to make.

- 2 eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ⅔ cup whole milk
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup melted butter, cooled
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream and milk.
Whisk in sugar and vanilla extract
Stir in melted butter.
Fold in flour, baking powder and salt.
Pour batter into waffle iron using the amount suggested by manufacturer.
Cook until golden, about 3-4 minutes, depending on your appliance.
Remove waffle to plate.
Repeat with remaining batter.
Serve warm with syrup or favourite toppings.
Since all waffle irons are different, follow the cooking instructions of your appliance for preheating and cooking the waffles.
This recipe makes 7 large waffles in our waffle iron but may make more or less depending on the waffle iron used.
