Ingredients For Fireball Ice Cream Floats
These floats have only three ingredients. Combined together, these three ingredients make these floats both sweet and spicy.
- Fireball Whiskey. The cinnamon flavour in this whiskey gives this float a spicy flavour.
- Dr Pepper. This soda has 23 flavours combined which really tastes great with the cinnamon heat of Fireball.
- Vanilla Ice Cream. We like to use vanilla ice cream because it goes well with Dr Pepper, but we have also had good results with chocolate ice cream.
Can These Floats Be Made Without Alcohol?
Yes these floats can be made without Fireball Whiskey. Then they are just two ingredient Dr Pepper floats but they are still very tasty.
Without alcohol, the floats are great for those who don’t want to consumer alcohol or those too young to consume it.
But if you want to get that spicy flavour without alcohol, you can add a few cinnamon candies, (like the cinnamon hearts you get at Valentine’s Day), to the bottom of the glass before adding the Dr Pepper.
Additions For Ice Cream Floats
If you are looking to take these floats up a notch, there are some ways to do this.
- Add a drizzle of chocolate syrup over the top of the ice cream.
- Sprinkle cocoa powder or cinnamon over the ice cream.
- Add a stemmed maraschino cherry to the top of the float or place one on a skewer across the top of the glass.
- Rim the glass with simple syrup, then dip it in crushed cinnamon candies before making the float.
Serving Fireball Ice Cream Floats
To serve these floats, we recommend a 500 ml wide mouth glass or larger. Wide mouth Mason jars work well, too. This makes it easier to get the ice cream on top of the liquid.
We have also made these in 16 ounce Solo Cups when we are entertaining.
